The "Poet"'s (詩人, Shijin?) real name is Daniel Friedkin (ダン・フリードキン?). He possesses the same power as Katsumata and Yukie, since he also bears "a piece of the heart". He went under military protection in exchange for giving the military information on Comrades and is emotionally fragile. He was killed by Mitama and had his piece of the heart taken.
